We had the privilege of commissioning our first two 5-fold ministers within our local congregation this past week – an apostle and a prophet. Not many churches do this. It’s probably because many do not understand the purpose or the process. This is still a new concept for the corporate Church as a whole, and we are pioneering something that I pray becomes normal within many local houses of worship. It’s within the local framework of spiritual family that viable and healthy 5-fold ministers can emerge and be released.
In this short video teaching below, I share a portion of my discipleship process with 5-fold candidates. You can access my written outline HERE (from PDF Downloads on this site). These 10 values are core to, what we believe is, the heart of authentic 5-fold ministry – that of equipping others to do the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-14). I believe the Church has focused so much on the gifts of the Spirit in recent years, we have forgotten the importance of integrity and character for those who operate in them.
I pray you are encouraged and gain a greater understanding of these 5 kinds of servant-leaders that Christ has given to His Church through apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.
