THE ENCHANTER IS ON THE MOVE

There is a Slithery One amongst us, speaking half-truths and lies and seducing the hungry with deceptive speech and a flattering tongue. This spirit that first appeared in Eden is still at work, hoping to deceive conflicted minds through empty promises of power and prestige in vain hopes for a future that will never come.
Heaven is warning us of this Enchanter, for he is moving, not only through the halls of Congress, but in church houses and ministries around the globe. Everywhere he goes, this demonic spirit clouds the mind with doubts about our origins and identity, preys on our fleshly desires, and pulls us into a desperate need for recognition that will eventually self-destruct. Whether through political platforms, from behind a pulpit, or in the public square, this slinking spirit is looking to hypnotize believers into a fog of self-deception and forged fantasy. Do we recognize this spirit at work behind some of today’s messengers and the compromised propaganda and promises they promote?
I was warned of this Enchanter two years ago in a dream where I saw “Eden” in the form of a woman. She had been on a sickbed, deathly ill. I saw her from the end of a long hallway, behind a veil with a light shining down on her from above. As she sat up in bed, she thanked me for the prayers of the saints that were bringing her back to life. She was on her way to recovery and was telling me of the joy in this when she stopped and simply said, “I’ve seen the Enchanter.”
As if on cue, the dream stopped – in freeze frame. Time seemed to stand still as the reality of her statement began to sink in. Eden wanted us to know that, even in the midst of answered prayers for her recovery, the Enchanter was still on the move.

But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. (2 Corinthians 11:3-4 ESV)

We can be encouraged that our prayers are causing a reformation on the earth. A reset button has been pushed through our intercession and God is bringing order and alignment back to creation for His glory and our good. Even so, we must be on guard. The Deceiver continues his slippery campaign to counterfeit everything God has established. He comes with “another Jesus,” a “different spirit,” and a different gospel. Just as he did in the first garden, he poses as one who understands our plight and feels our pain. This principality from the dark side is still speaking today in hopes of drawing us into a trap.
Can you hear him?
“Did God really say He created only male and female?”
“Did God really say that marriage is for one man and one woman?”
“Does a loving God really send people to hell?”
“Is Jesus really coming back? Didn’t that already happen?”
“Doesn’t God want you happy more than holy?”

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

There are false prophets in politics and media just as there are false prophets in the Church. Deceitful men and women who come as champions of truth, masquerading as heralds of good, when in fact they are carriers of death. Being influenced by this Enchanter, these hypnotists are placing the Church and this nation under a spell that seeks to rob us of truth, integrity, and all things pure and holy. That which seems good to the eyes is being laced with poison and we must stop listening before we end up taking the bite.
How do we avoid falling into this trap? James tells us to search our hearts for any indication of insecurity, jealousy, or pride. We must rid ourselves of selfish ambition and any attitude that longs for what another one has or does. Our need for validation, reputation, and status make us prime targets for the dark side. Our quest for knowledge, enlightened thought, or “free thinking” can lead us into compromised truths and doctrines of man. It is only when our hearts and minds have been cleansed and filled with revelation from heaven that we have the clarity needed to stand in the truth.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:14-18)

Lucifer’s fall came as a result of his bitter jealousy and selfish ambition. Thinking he was overlooked and ignored, his pride opened the door for his destructive descent. This is how the enchantment begins. Insecurity, rebellion against authority, and the fear of man make a fertile breeding ground for the enemy’s work. We must seize these ungodly beliefs and make them obedient to Christ if we are to break the spell and get rid of the snake.
Let us pray that our hearts are free and clear of any pseudo wisdom which the Word deems earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. Let us silence the lies of the Deceiver and turn away from any spirit, gospel, or message that does not come from the Father above. Though the Enchanter may be on the move, Eden is still rising. That which the Father created for our good is yet to be fully realized on the earth. Let’s recognize the serpent for who he is, denounce the counterfeits he promotes, and cling to the Father’s words. Everlasting and full of perfect wisdom and power, His Word never fails and is forever true, right, and good.
