WHO DO YOU BELIEVE AND WHY?

For those of you who do not follow my Facebook page, I shared these posts late last night and early this morning when news broke of the Supreme Court’s decision in rejecting the Texas case:

Many are saying WHAT they believe will happen with this election outcome, HOW it will happen, and WHEN. I think the more important determination is WHO and WHY…

So, the Supreme Court rejects the case. Are we finally at our Red Sea moment? Are we trapped with no way out – are all other paths totally blocked? I don’t think so. I have a sense we’re in for some more unexpected moments – because heaven’s end-game is so much bigger than any of us truly know.

Stand fast, because this is what faith does. It learns to trust – and persevere – and not determine an outcome based on what we see, what we hear, and what we think we know. I’m sure the Israelites never would have fathomed a vast sea opening up before their very eyes. And yet, it was God’s plan all along.

Faith in a supernatural God doesn’t give up hope and doesn’t give in. My faith will not rest on man’s response, but on God’s determination. I may not understand His ways, but I do know that God really loves us and isn’t worried about His plan – not one bit.

“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21)

Let me clarify for myself – I do not stand in agreement for President Trump’s second term because of the words of the prophets. I honor my fellow servants, but they are not the reason I stand secure. My confidence does not rest in the courts or the Constitution. My faith is fixed because I KNOW MY GOD. I believe He is going to deliver this nation because of HIS HEART FOR HIS PEOPLE. This is what remains unshakeable in my own lifetime of relationship with Him. I feel the burning passion in His heart for those who have been crying out to Him day and night in fervent prayer. I see the smile on His face and sense the joy in His heart for what is yet to come that is unseen by man. I see the fire in His eyes and the scepter in His hand as He leans forward with intense anticipation for the Great Reveal. I am convinced of His determination to HAVE HIS WAY – because HIS HEART BURNS FOR HIS PEOPLE!

I admonish you dear brothers and sisters – as we continue to contend for truth, liberty, and justice, be sure you know WHO you believe in and WHY. The only faith that will pass the strength test is that which stands on the person of Christ and the power of His extremely strong and capable right arm to save. Don’t let bad reports, disappointing news, or men’s failures deter you from true faith in Him. We must keep our eyes fixed on the Rock of our salvation, the Cornerstone of our faith, and the only One who can truly deliver His people from the traps of the wicked.

“He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on garments of vengeance for clothing and wrapped Himself in zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, so will He repay, wrath to His adversaries, repayment to His enemies; to the coastlands He will render repayment. So, they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; for He will come like a rushing stream, which the WIND OF THE LORD drives.” (Isaiah 59:17-19)

honey none of your posts are about Christ anymore…. you worship trump more than you do Christ… Trump is your idol

I think you’re being a little out of line when you suggest Christians like Wanda are ‘worshipping’ Donald J. Trump. Christians are allowed to have preferences in their leadership, like anyone else. I adored President Reagan and was sad to see him go, but I never treated him like an idol.

With that said, at the same time Christians should not be freakin’ out at the prospect of a 78-year-old buffoon taking over the presidency, IF that is God’s will. It’s a little inconsistent to suggest “Bring the Tribulation on Lord, we’re ready. But please don’t torment us with Joe Biden”, doncha think?

  3. Dear Mrs. Alger,

I have come to enjoy your posts on the IFA website and your blog. I have been encouraged by them and appreciate your apparent connection with our Lord. Prior to your article, “Who Do You Believe And Why. I would say I have had mixed feelings about the assurances of those holding themselves to be prophets.

Recently I posted a comment on the IFA website. I said in part; “I do not consider myself a prophet. God has never spoken to me, at least that I recognized. I haven’t seen visions nor have I dreamed dreams. There are those who participate in IFA that have made such claims. I accept them at their word that God has given them a glimpse of His future plans. Inauguration day will reveal whether the prophets heard correctly, whether the response of Christ’s church was adequate or whether some condition was not met that God expected of His people.

You write in part “I do not stand in agreement for President Trump’s second term because of the words of the prophets. I honor my fellow servants, but they are not the reason I stand secure. My confidence does not rest in the courts or the Constitution. My faith is fixed because I KNOW MY GOD.”

I can understand why you would not need to grace your trust in other prophets since you identify yourself as one. I accept that you have a connection with God and that he gives you visions or speaks to you in dreams. But what about those of us that God does not speak in vision, dreams or other manners. What choice do we have but to rely on the words of the prophets, such as yourself.

I am just an amateur Bible student. As I understand it, God didn’t say to trust or not trust the individual, but to check out the prophecy. If it came to pass, they are a true prophet. If it did not come to pass, they were a false prophet and were to be stoned. Some are likely lucky we don’t follow through with that instruction in today’s world.

I believe I would find it a lot easier to understand God’s plans were He to provide clarity in a vision or dream. Since He has not granted me that blessing, I ask again, what choice to I have but to rely on those the claim to have received revelation from God. I believe that God will do what He has said He will do and that He will do so in his timing. I just don’t know what He has said He is going to do. Therefore, I feel that I can only pray for Him to accomplish what others have indicated He has said He will do and leave the timing up to Him.

I welcome a response, should you have time to do so.

    Sincerely,

    Steven Olson

    • Dear Steven, Thank you for your thoughtful question. It’s a good one and I’ve been pondering it:-). With limited space to address this, I’ll simply make several suggestions.

First – I can personally say that dreams have been one of the most challenging forms of “divine intel.” Dreams are rarely literal and their interpretation can be highly subjective. Several years ago, I was struck by Numbers 12:6-8 in which the Lord said, “If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream. But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, clearly and not in riddles.” When I read that, I realized that having a dream or vision was not the highest form of communication with God. I was challenged to know the HEART of the Lord in the same way Moses did. Though I have never literally “seen” the Lord face to face like Moses did, I believe we can all have the same kind of intimate connection with the Lord that he did. This is what I mean when I say I ultimately base my faith in God’s heart and ways based on a lifetime of relationship with Him. The more time spent with Him, the more we understand who He is and WHY He even does what He does.

Second – There are many other spiritual gifts that the Lord can use to speak to us (see 1 Cor. 12:1-11). Much of what I write is actually more words of WISDOM than words of prophecy. I’ve also operated in a gift of FAITH that gives me added confidence in the ways of God. I’ve often received WORDS OF KNOWLEDGE concerning the workings of God and have received many words of ENCOURAGEMENT through other believers in terms of God’s will and plans. In other words, there are a lot more ways that God speaks to us than just prophecy – it’s a work of the HOLY SPIRIT in our lives that REVEALS the heart and nature of God.

Third – I thank God for the prophets and certainly hope that all believers can learn to weigh their words with Scripture, the witness of the Spirit, and the fruit thereof. But, more importantly, I pray we can all learn to recognize the Lord’s voice in whatever form it comes in. I highly recommend a book written by the founder of our church network (Dove Christian Fellowship Intl), Larry Kreider. He is an apostolic father and has authored more than 40 books. One of them is “Hearing God 30 Different Ways” available through Amazon. It’s very easy to read, biblically sound, and highly practical.

The last thing I’ll add is that for myself, I make sure I’m getting good information on the ground. Especially with political issues, I do a lot of research and vet my information very carefully and test it against other sources before landing on it. You don’t have to be a prophet to discern truth from error, so good intel is critical when making any kind of judgment.

I hope my “short” reply has been somewhat helpful:-). Blessings to you!

  4. (Also in response to Wanda’s “Prophetic Dream about Electoral Drama Unfolding” on You Tube.)

Democracy is not God’s Ideal. God is seeking His Kingdom, which ultimately must be ruled by a king.

Our responsibility is to prepare for that reality so that when Christ returns to ‘cast fire upon the earth’ which means the truth, he would hope that Christians would already be living and embodying that truth within the ‘Societal Seven Mountains’ which makes up a society and a nation.

Through seeking and building that kingdom, we then mature, and graduate from just believing in God and Jesus, to embodying the Word ourselves, which also means becoming the embodiment of true love. Everyone was created to accomplish that through their own free will and by keeping God’s Word.

I think it was totally ok that the Supreme Court didn’t take this case. I want them to be very clear minded and resolute, not intellectually or consciously compromising in any way. I want it to be from the Heart-of-God if and when the S.C. takes the right case. Let them make the right case so ALL the truth will be exposed… Let it be so encompassing that it will also free up our friends from communist countries that have had their votes stolen from them as well!

Very encouraging words Wanda. Loved the word you gave at church this morning about God going deep into the ocean and pulling out the plug at the bottom. I think you meant that God was draining the swamp in the nations. This is a global move of God.

  7. As long as man collaborates with God, and fulfils his portion of responsibility, then God’s Will is achieved. God can not do it by Himself, otherwise he would have done so long ago, and there would have been no need to have given Adam and Eve the Commandment in the first place, if their very lives depended upon it – and that is the key point.

They risked their lives to break the Commandment, are we willing to risk our lives to keep the Commandment (obey God), as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego did.

The formula for God’s Will to be accomplished is:

God’s Portion of Responsibility (giving his Word/Commandments, sending the prophets)

    + PLUS

Man’s portion of responsibility (Keeping God’s Word, being obedient and faithful).

The collaborative effort between God and man, brings about the accomplishment of God’s Will.

We can clearly see this formula working in the Old Testament Era, through the example and course the Hebrew/Israelite people walked, going back to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

There are many examples of man’s resoluteness in the bible and also the history books, the need to be brave and strong when dealing with God’s enemies or adverse conditions.

Joshua 1: 6 “Be strong and of good courage; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you; turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Shortly after, following the successful spying mission, Joshua led the people across the Jordan River, and they entered Jericho.

Please note that the Ark of the Covenant containing the ‘Ten Commandments’ carried by the priests, led the people. In other words, it is by putting God’s Word first, that we can enter the promised land as it should have been for Adam and Eve, the Israelites, and now today’s Christians.

If we dismiss God’s Word, “in that day we shall surely die”. God’s Word and our obedience and faith in God’s Word is what allows God to consummate, accomplish His Will.

These first few chapters in Joshua give many insights into our life of faith and the right attitude and disposition we need, to accomplish God’s Will.

So we must keep praying, and repenting, as obviously by all accounts we have not been keeping God’s Word, hence our current reality.

Just as the Israelites raised a loud shout to bring down the walls of Jericho, Christians too must raise a loud shout, by speaking out, rallying, showing that we too are resolute, and are not going to just give up what our ancestors fought for, for not only hundreds of years but also thousands if we look closely at our family tree.

The battle has just begun, and to preserve our lives we must be prepared to lose our lives for God’s Will, God’s Purpose of Creation. Whether what we do is spiritually the ‘widows mite’, or more actively in the frontline, it is all ‘grist to the mill’.

God’s mill grinds exceedingly fine as long as God’s people stay in the fight and never give up, just as George Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River on a freezing cold Christmas night to gain his first major victory against British forces.

That was a lesson in resolve that even God could not ignore. God’s heart was deeply moved by the actions of those men.

Interestingly, history repeats. George Washington also had his problems with the civil authorities, regarding getting food, clothes, medicine, and supplies in general for his men. They wanted him to win a war, but at least expense and bother to themselves. So typical of ‘ruling authorities’ – who have been invaded by Satan.

Those men who fought with Washington, set the standard for what a true patriot is, those who gave their lives and suffered in pitiable conditions, whilst others were safe in bed at night.

True Americans must rise up and take their country back from the real criminals, who wear suits and ties and live a privileged life.

Satan has been running America for far too long, and God is super ticked off about it.

It is not just up to God, it is up to the ‘children’ to fulfil their portion of responsibility, otherwise why did God give Adam and Eve a commandment in the first place?

Christians need to understand this point and act, because ‘faith without action/works is dead’.

  8. Wanda, I came to know of you when your book, Moving from Sword to Scepter, came out. I now read all of your postings, believing you do hear from God, and am grateful to be able to hear your Holy Spirit “take” on events. They inspire, give God’s perspective, and help to strengthen our faith.
I would be appreciative, if possible, to hear you comment on why it is that God will be spurred to action for us, here in America, as opposed to delivering His people in countries such as China and the many other countries which are heavily persecuted. Why are we, more than they who have suffered so much, worthy of His righteous action on our behalf? Do you believe it is because of America’s founding by the Pilgrims who risked their lives for religious freedom and made a covenant with God for His glory? I do believe He must hear His people’s cry, as He did the Israelites, but why us, more than the millions of others over centuries who were not delivered?
    Respectfully, and with thanks.

    • Hi Sue, Thank you so much for sharing and sending the book to me, Paula, because it has truly been such a huge blessing for me. I have not read it all the way through yet, as I get so much out of it and I have to “camp” there for a bit, but for the same reasons you listed above, I also am thankful for Wanda, and the insights and encouragements she give to us. Great questions here, sending love to you this Christmas!

  9. I also agree with this message, thank you for sharing. Faith rose up in me also and said ‘What about Gideon?’ Didn’t God Himself tell Gideon he had too many men? God will be glorified, He doesn’t need the Supreme Court!! What about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? Things were looking pretty bad for them, but they came out of the fire without a singe or even the smell of smoke!! One thing sticks out also is they told the king it didn’t matter what the outcome was “if we are thrown into the blazing furnace, The God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. BUT EVEN IF HE DOES NOT, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” We can go on and on, Esther, Daniel, etc., etc. our God is able to part the Red Sea!! PTL!!

  10. AMEN! Whose report do we BELIEVE?

  11. I stand in agreement with this Word and continue seated in the heavenly realms by the authority of Christ Jesus. Thank you!!

  12. Thank you, Wanda. Much needed encouragement

Thank you for this encouraging message. Standing with God and knowing Him brings peace to this shaking around us. We need to let God do all He needs to do to expose the evilness in our nation and when He has, then we will see our parting of the Red Sea and His glory and power.
