ROADBLOCKS TO AWAKENING AND DISCERNING TRUTH

Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples. (Isaiah 62:10)

WHAT you believe about our current situation is not as important as WHY you believe it. Prophetic predictions should only confirm what we’ve already suspected and discerned through our own time with the Lord. God wants us to be a mature and discerning people who accurately interpret His ways and know His times and seasons. But, this can only come through practice.

But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:14)

I want to share 8 different roadblocks that I believe might be keeping some stuck and unable to see the path ahead. Consider your own process to see if any of these roadblocks might be hampering your own vision for the future.

1.WE DON’T KNOW SCRIPTURE
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the messenger of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16)

If we don’t have secure foundations in the Word of God (dogmas of our faith) we can come to a faulty interpretation due to our personal doctrines or opinions. The answer is to STUDY THE WORD in order to know His heart, His ways, and what time it is in His eternal plan.

2. WE DON’T CONSIDER OUR PRESUPPOSITIONS

We all have our personal preferences and sacred cows that, unknowingly, become filters in our ability to discern. Whether its our belief in the Rapture, our dislike of a particular leader, or certain doctrinal assumptions, we need to EXAMINE OUR BELIEFS before reaching any final conclusion about a matter. Not all our presumptions apply and some even limit our ability to see a different conclusion.

3. WE REACT OUT OF FEAR
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

No truth will be found in worry or fear-based propaganda. The pandemic has stripped believers of our faith in supernatural healing and caused many to lose their focus. We must be intentional in BUILDING OUR FAITH in the coming days if we are to rise above the terrorizing tactics of the enemy.

4. WE’RE BOUND UP IN UNHEALTHY SOUL TIES
Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. (Proverbs 22:24-25)

We can get emotionally entangled and snared by the enemy when we feel obligated to compromise our beliefs for the sake of a relationship or association. We must guard our hearts and CUT THE TIES with anything that causes us to miss the grace of God. We can still walk in love towards those who disagree with us, while keeping a clear conscience with the Lord.

5. WE DON’T LIKE THE PACKAGING
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

God will often offend our minds to get to our hearts. Jesus did it all the time. God may bring us a message of truth through someone we outwardly deem unworthy or even incapable. We must LAY DOWN ANY OFFENSE or fleshly judgment to search deeper for the truth being revealed. Avoid knee-jerk reactions and consider the possibilities!

6. WE DON’T LOOK FOR CONFIRMATION
Every charge must be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. (2 Corinthians 13:1)

Any truth must be verified by two or three independent witnesses. This not only brings greater clarity to the matter, but increased integrity in the message. But, this will only happen when we DO OUR HOMEWORK. We can’t just “Google it” anymore – it’s going to take some independent and critical thinking to find the answers.

7. WE DON’T USE COMMON SENSE
Good sense wins favor, but the way of the treacherous is their ruin. In everything the prudent acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly. (Proverbs 13:15-16)

Rather than simply looking to the next prophetic revelation for insight, we should start by simply looking at what’s right in front of our eyes. Sometimes we just don’t take a second look to consider that something may be amiss. We have forgotten how to ASK QUESTIONS. Self-discovery is the greatest teacher and we can help one another by simply asking the right questions that might lead us to the truth.

8. WE DON’T GET GOOD COUNSEL
Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance. (Proverbs 1:5)

We know that we each only see in part, but when’s the last time we took the time to get additional counsel before making a final determination? Growing in maturity means learning from those we might even disagree with, if it means GETTING A LARGER PERSPECTIVE and shoring up our weaknesses. We will become stronger when all the parts are working together towards the same goal.

He is preparing us for GOOD WORKS ahead! I pray we can remove these roadblocks so that, together, we can see clearly the path before us and prepare a highway for our God.

  1. Wanda, I so appreciate your teaching. You are addressing issues and questions that I have been wrestling with. Thank you for your ministry, Terry Schmidt, Kansas City

  2. I found your teaching a real bonus! Thank you. Having been through a situation in a church that you touched on, I feel much better and ready to really study the Word more.

  3. It appears we are getting more glimpses at hidden evil in our government. The list is getting longer each day. Our prayers are being answered. What is hidden is being revealed. We need to come down hard on human trafficking in prayer. So many abused have been found, but the Biden administration put a stop to it. Please pray for those that are still in captivity. We need continued revelation.

  4. Wanda, I so enjoy your teaching! I have one question on your March 8th talk. You said the cdc is not a federal agency, but a private vaccine agency.
Could you please let me know where to find this information. Every where I look it says it is a government agency.
Thank you, and I look forward to your next blog

    1. Yes, Barbara – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) holds patents, many of which cover technology used in the process of developing or manufacturing vaccines. Companies can license this technology, and pay royalties to the CDC and the inventors. In 2019, the CDC received $17 million in total royalties from patented and unpatented technologies. $4.6 billion was the CDC’s budget for this vaccine distribution program in 2019. Bottom line is that they do “make money” by advancing vaccines – that was my main point:-). Here are two additional links to look at – http://www.opensourcetruth.com/yes-its-true-cdc-owns-vaccine-patents-and-profits-from-the-jab/ and https://www.lawfirms.com/resources/environment/environment-health/cdc-members-own-more-50-patents-connected-vaccinations

  5. Thank you Wanda. I am 100% in agreement with you. We are living in a time of ‘shaking’ and we need to really become the mature sons of God. You are one of those who are being used to ‘mature’ Body of Christ.
    God bless.

  6. Wanda, looking back over my long life, I can relate to every one of these at one time or another. Through time spent reading in GOD’s Holy Word and “seasoning” — I have made some progress in these areas.
Wanda Thank You so much for writing about each of these. We ALL need to read them and think on them long and hard. In this present time, we can’t make it without Great Help—and these are a Great Part of Great Help.
