The spiritual transformation we long for will not be found in familiar places. Even in the midst of enemy interference, the Spirit beckons us to step outside our comfort zones because the “greater works” will only be found in new territory. We are about to discover that home is not a place, routine, or system, but a Person.
I was once very frustrated when I couldn’t see what God was doing or where His Spirit was working and finally cried out, “God, where are you!?” His answer surprised me. “I’m in unfamiliar places. Come find me!”
The pioneer within me was excited, but the homebody was not. I wanted to see this “new thing” He had in store, but it would mean leaving the safe spaces I had created. This same invitation came in a dream where I was unable to tune in to heaven’s frequency until I stepped outside my familiar routines and ventured into unknown territory. Once I did, I had a powerful revelation of the Godhead and woke up shaking in the fear of the Lord. This fresh revelation of heaven’s activity could only be accessed by leaving the familiar and stepping into new places.
Many of us feel like we’re in some kind of twilight zone of uncertainty. Major things are shifting in the spirit. Nothing is “normal” anymore and the enemies of God are working hard at unsettling us. And yet, I believe it is the Lord who is inviting us into unfamiliar places for a much greater purpose. He wants us to see Him in ways we’ve never seen Him before. It’s in the unfamiliar places ahead that our purpose will be enlarged and our mission made clear.
Rather than dreading the change, I choose to embrace the adventure. I want to be where HE is, and right now, He’s inviting us to take His hand and journey into unfamiliar territory. This is not the time to play it safe. Stop looking back at what “once was” and consider what heaven is about to reveal. Let go of the familiar and dare to pursue the greater things ahead.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it SPRINGS UP; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

This is your pilgrim journey. Read Pilgrim’s Progress. Christian’s journey isn’t unique but perfectly personal. We all must seek Him where He May be found. Help is always available. It is not meant to be comfortable or we would fall asleep glued to our seats and never venture onward to the high calling.
Thank you for your faithful witness.
This is a direct confirmation to prayers prayed this morning. Yes, the twighlight zone of uncertainty is uncomfortable and yet the tyranny of the familiar compels us to follow hard after Him. Thank you for sharing so many encouraging and corrective words in this NOW time we are in. May Father Bless you in all your ways.
You word picture about vultures circling tell about something dead below is so appropriate for what is going on today. Thanks for reminding me to pray for His kingdom to come, bringing new ways, rather than just talking about the problems.
Good timely word. Nancy C.
Thank you Wanda 🙏🏻 You combine the mystic & spiritual in your faith beautifully! 💕🙏🏻
WANDA, You are such a BLESSING to me.
I want to thank you for talking about the twilight zone. I feeling like I have been stuck there for several months. Trying to sort through what is truth and what is not had been very difficult. I feel like the enemy is twisting ever little truth he can. Also, I have felt in my spirit that that I need to trust in the Father and have faith with where He is taking us. I keep hear some say we are going here or we are going there but I keep coming back to we don’t know the exact place we are going, exactly when or what is will look like when we get there. This has caused my faith to grow leaps and bounds. More so then if I knew who where what when and how.
I found this video to be really encouraging.
Wanda, why are you so focused on our political leaders? I don’t think Paul was very focused on Nero or on who was stabbing who in Rome. Shouldn’t we, as Christians, be striving towards the real goal of the Christian life? Sharing Christ and him crucified to our neighbors, our friends, to anyone who does not know Him. While doing so: help the homeless, the widow, and all who call out in need. There is so much suffering, visible right out in the open, that we should address. Why look for hidden messages, when God’s Word gives us plenty to do!
Jeremy – I am focused on leaders because that is the assignment the Lord has given me and my husband. We have a passion to see healthy leadership rise up in the body of Christ and in all other mountains of our culture. Without God-ordained leaders, we won’t get very far. It should be fairly obvious by now that the government mountain, especially, needs God’s leaders at the helm. Thus – why I am “so focused” on leaders:-).
This goes along with most of those on Elijah’s list even going back from last week to a month or so. I liked EMANUEL JOHNSON SHOW WHICH SAID “THE NEXT 90 DAYS” I BELIEVE GOD IS ANSWERING THE PRAYERS OF HIS PEOPLE AND WE ARE NOW UNDER TYRANNY AND A COUP IN MY OPINION. I BELIEVE THR ELRCTION FRAUD WILL COME UP AS WELL AS MORE DARKNESS WILL BR EXPOSED AND TRUMP WILL BE BACK AND GOD WILL CLEAN HOUSE SO HE CAN DO “NEW THINGS AND FORGET THE FORMER,” AND GOD WILL GET THE GLORY. IT MIGHT GET BUMPY BUT WE KNOW THE BEGINNING AND THE END. PRAISE THE LORD!! TIM
