The time of awakening hearts to some harsh realities in our world has hit a snag. The changing of minds and acknowledgment of corruption seems to have slowed to a snail’s pace as many have simply dug in their heels and refused to believe what’s truly happening. The level of unbelief is staggering.
There are many issues in which we are still divided. There’s the stolen election, the Covid lies, President Trump’s return, crime families running the government, the globalist cabal takeover, child trafficking, Luciferian practices, and so much more. Even as some have woken up to a number of these truths, there are many still asleep. And they simply don’t want to be awoken. They have rolled over in bed and have no intention of getting up.
So, for those who are awake and want to do something about it – how do we proceed in faith? How do we muster our courage and resolve to press forward? What kind of hope do we have for breakthrough while knowing a vast majority of the population will not go with us?
I find an interesting pattern in Scripture that gives us a clue. It seems that God not only causes some of this hardness of heart, but He actually uses it for His advantage – and ours. Consider these examples:
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, THAT I MAY SHOW THESE SIGNS OF MINE AMONG THEM, and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord.” (Exodus 10:1-2 ESV)
- God hardened Pharoah’s heart so that He could SHOW HIM the true scope of His power and establish a lasting legacy.
But Sihon the king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him, for the Lord your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, THAT HE MIGHT GIVE HIM INTO YOUR HAND, as he is this day. (Deuteronomy 2:30)
- God hardened another king’s heart so that his enemies could overcome him.
A partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved… As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. (Romans 11:25-28)
- God allowed hardened hearts in Israel to provoke jealousy when the Gentiles were blessed.
And He looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. (Mark 3:5)
- Hardened hearts signaled the time for miracles!
It seems as though God is not stopped by hardened hearts. Man’s rebellion does not dissuade His intentions or hinder His working. If anything, He uses it – even fuels it. It sets the stage for miraculous intervention and breakthrough for those who believe!
Perhaps we are at a threshold of miracles! Perhaps the logjam of unbelief is signaling a time of “greater things!” Rather than being discouraged at all the naysayers and doubters, let’s consider the possibilities. Majority rule has never limited God’s power and popular opinion has never determined His actions. History is replete with critics and rebels. God knows the hearts of men and has made contingency plans for their hardened unbelief. The power of those who believe seems to greatly outweigh those who don’t. Even as we continue to do our part is heralding the truth, God will do His.
Let’s press forward with the assurance that, regardless of who follows, we are still headed in the right direction. There’s a finish line ahead with a victor’s crown awaiting. I believe for those who are steadfast in faith, miracles will be our portion. That which is deemed impossible will be made possible as God reveals what HE can do. He will demonstrate to all that His throne is greater and His rule is higher. Unbelief will be overcome by His mighty acts and hardened hearts will melt like wax.
Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Our God is in the heavens; He does all that He pleases. (Psalm 115:2-3 ESV)
