*Note: This post is not just referring to “the prophets,” but a much larger observation within the patriot community and those wanting to discern the times. These are principles that can be applied in numerous situations. Apply accordingly:-).
In Mike Thompson’s latest interview with Steve Schultz on Elijah Streams, he relayed several prayer encounters he has had with the archangel, Michael. Being a spiritual warrior and prophetic intercessor for years, Mike has had many visions and encounters with warring angels (listen to the last 20 minutes of his interview below). In one particular instance, he said he saw Michael and the warring angels trying to tear down strongholds over the nation. But, as soon as they would tear down one, another one would rise. They couldn’t keep up with them. Mike asked the angel why this was happening. Michael’s response was, “Because of the mouths of men…”
When Mike shared this, I immediately thought of believers attacking fellow believers. I didn’t think of the world’s accusations or the attacks from globalist opposition. I thought of our own brothers and sisters in the Church. I thought of all the strife and division that has been caused because believers don’t know how to process things together in a healthy and life-giving. I believe THIS has been just as big of an issue as the satanic agenda that has been coming against us – HOW we speak about one another.
We need a wake-up call to the potency of our words. Yes, we need to expose corruption and call out the counterfeits. But many believers have fallen into a trap of spreading confusion and doubt in the ranks and thus, opened even more doors for the enemy to come through. I see a spirit of SUSPICION masquerading as a spirit of discernment – and it’s killing us.
We have become so afraid of being lied to and deceived, we are calling out anything and anyone that doesn’t line up with our personal belief system. That is not discernment. And, especially on social media, it’s not helping. True discernment is not a guessing game based on “a hunch,” second-hand information, or a one-time statement or event that we deem unscriptural. It is not based on our own preferences or presumptions of what God likes. It is based on truth that has been established over time.
“But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14 ESV)
Maybe you are uncomfortable with something that someone said or did. Maybe you have major questions about a practice or belief that someone has. You’re not alone! Everyone is having to reevaluate what we believe and who we believe – and why. But, we can’t label someone as fake or counterfeit just because we’re concerned, tell everyone else not to follow them, and then attribute it to Holy Spirit discernment. The devil feeds on speculation and controversy – and gossip. Our words are powerful in the spirit. And our enemy is listening.
Accountability within the Body of Christ always has to start at home – in relationship with others. Social media is not the place to be the judge and jury of someone we have no personal relationship with. If we are concerned about a public figure being compromised or corrupt – we must PRAY. If we believe there might be a wolf in sheep’s clothing – PRAY. Ask the Lord for those closest to them to rise up and intervene. Ask that those with proper authority would do the right thing and confront the issue appropriately. And, when we process this with others, we must weigh our words carefully. Know that WHAT COMES OUT OUR MOUTHS IS FOOD FOR THE ENEMY. Let’s use our words wisely and make sure to open the right doors – not the wrong ones.
On a practical note: It’s one thing to raise a question about something that someone said or did in order to understand it correctly. It’s quite another to judge or condemn the person. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says we are to weigh prophetic WORDS – not the prophets. (Some of you are going, “Wha!?”) Romans 14:13 says to stop passing judgment on one another. That’s God’s job. We can process together a question about a statement or incident without indicting the person. We must recognize the difference between a true wolf and a sheep that is merely misdirected or immature. Our attitude is critical. We can either process things with an open mind and sincere love for others, or a critical attitude that’s just looking for a reason to disqualify someone.
Personally, I’ve been on both sides of this issue. I know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of criticism that wasn’t aimed at understanding anything – only looking to reject the messenger. But, I’ve also (unfortunately) been on the giving side. I’ve learned, firsthand, the negative impact of careless and presumptuous words that came from a sour attitude (not my proudest moments).
My overall message here is simple. Our enemy, the devil, is looking to use the words that come out of our mouths as weapons against each other. If he can get us to divide over disputable matters, he knows he can nullify our authority and immobilize our advance. We desperately need to be of one mind and one heart in this season of spiritual warfare.
Let’s pursue righteousness, integrity, and purity of the gospel in a way that strengthens and builds up the Body instead of splintering it. Let’s weigh our words carefully and believe the best of others instead of the worst. Let’s override any spirit of suspicion with greater faith in God’s ability to separate the tares from the wheat. Instead of giving him ammunition that will eventually destroy us, let’s aim to give the devil some words that will destroy him.
“The hand of God was also on Judah to give them ONE HEART to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.” (2 Chronicles 30:12)

Early June of 2021 I had a dream that the Lord has continued to remind me of while in prayer over the past year.
In my dream I was praying and seeking wisdom and comfort because I was so dis heartened with what was happening in our Country/world. In the dream the Lord spoke to me and said “Bring your family to a field at sunset set, and I will give you discernment for the days we are living in!”
I obeyed, and gathered my husband and four daughters into our Honda Pilot. We drove out to a corn field where corn was not yet very tall. The sun was about to set, and it was a beautiful summer night. My daughters kept asking me why we were there. I responded by saying that the Lord was going to reveal to us what was happening in these crazy times we are living in. My feeling was that it was going to be something regarding the sun. I knew that we were supposed to look off into the distance. The clouds in the sky were fluffy light Cotton balls. Out of the blue we saw a blue race car that was old fashion looking, kind of like a matchbox car. It had the number seven on it. It was falling from a cloud out of the sky onto the earth straight down. My entire family gasped! It was a very crazy site! When it landed on the ground it exploded. It was quite a distance from us but we are still very frightened! Then we saw another one, it was red and it had a number five on it it. This one was toward the left of our view. This time it fell faster than the blue car. When it hit the ground it made another explosion. Before it hit the ground another one to the side started falling as well. Now more cars are starting to come one after another and the explosions felt like we were in a war zone. They were all around us. We were crying out to the Lord pleading the blood of Jesus for protection! My daughters were crying and we were all very very frightened. We kept praying and crying out. Then the Holy Spirit filled our car and at the same time we all have the same sense of peace and somehow heard the same words. The words were: “The events that are going to be occurring in the next year or so are going to be so strange, yes! They will be as if a race car was falling from a cloud! That’s how strange things will appear! During that time you must know that I will protect my children and my children’s children as I am now while you were sitting in this car with distruction all around you!!”
Shortly after that the masks became mandated again in many places. Also the vaccine became mandated shortly after that. My husband‘s job was threatened and he had to make a serious decision if he was going to get the vaccine or risk losing his job. Throughout all of those times I kept being reminded about what the Lord said that things were going to look so strange. Those are events that I never would’ve ever thought would happen, but I was comforted because of the dream that I had. I now feel the way The Lord has showed me lately that more strange events are going to occur and it is going to appear like distraction will come to my family. However like how he protected us in our Honda pilot he will protect us in these days to come as well!!🙏
Well said Wanda! Always truthful and choosing your words wisely!
I pray and hope that your words in this post are shared with the impacted parties for healing in their spirits. We can not afford to loss any ground to satan.
God bless you and all that you do!
Thank you, Wanda, for this message and also for the LINK to Mike Thompson. So wonderful
I took notes. I have been struggling with the prophesies that have been describing such blessing and celebration and prosperity as being descriptive of the Millenium Kingdom of Christ, and not for this present Age. That the Time Line of future events I see in scripture is centered on Israel and the increasing lawlessness of Man until the advent of the Anti-Christ. I have prayed for us here in America to return to God, and the return of our Republic, but I hoped to see God’s activity here, but not Globally, since it would mean Global judgement and the “Beginning of Sorrows”, the beginning of the final seven years.
But so many prophets are repeating Global revival and the end of the Globalists, that I am beginning to rejoice that God’s Time Table will include Victory for His Church globally on this side of the Tribulation and Rapture, before His Wrath.
Thank you Wanda, so well said, grateful for you.
Thank you!!
Mike Thompson’s most interesting statement was, “character plus faith equals attitude”.
Churches have attitudes. That attitude is imparted by the leadership upon the church and that is picked up by the congregation.
An individual’s character is shaped in part from their exposure to and influence of the world, relationships and upbringing. Imperfections of character are overcome to the extent that a relationship is forged and infused with God by faith.
Among church leaders, one major flaw is ‘religion’ (religious spirit), which is a particularly stubborn characteristic to overcome, and which has insidiously infiltrated most churches. And sometimes Jesus must show up brandishing a tripartite cord in order to chase it out.
Thank you, Wanda, for clarifying what kind of wisdom we need in the body of Christ at this critical time we live in. And, that Christians will be mature enough to PRAY before judging others. God is THE judge….. An important truth to remember for all of us.
This is a really good word. I teach a small group at our church and have had to deal with this kind of thing recently. It’s sad when Christians become suspicious of others, thinking they are operating in discernment when it is really the enemy that causes them to be suspicious and not to trust other people. Usually people who have been wounded in the past seem to have a lot of problems with this.
Wanda, thank you for your blog. Now that this situation is exposed to the light, let us all turn our hearts to the Father and pray, wait, praise, for the Holy Spirit to work through and heal the mess and anything in any of us that needs to be corrected. And watch our mouths!
Thank you. I am guilty of not having words of life all the time. Thank you for speaking truth here. Such good stuff and truth.
The broader picture is that human nature likes a fight. A Godly nature remains instinctively objective.
With the initiation of Facebook, then Twitter and facilitated by the anonymity factor, communications have devolved to ‘flinging opinions about’ like excrement. So, the recent disagreement within the Christian community (at the top) with this Kat vs Mario spat, has become a juicy topic. But it shows how the nastiness so pervasive in the world now – inflamed by the political (geopolitical) environment, has infiltrated the church. It’s a SAD commentary on the state of one’s heart if this entices one to comment. Everyone thinks that their opinion (or regurgitating another’s) is OK or even ‘fashionably’. If you listened to KAT address this herself on Elijah Streams, the situation was resolved between she and the others with God. It perfectly exemplifies the Christain way of resolving disagreements.
So, while contributing on Live Chat during an online Church service yesterday, arbitrarily this became the topic – totally apart from sermon topic. Incredulous, I called it what it is, GOSSIP. and, ‘It’s not your fight; doesn’t involve you and has been settled. You are opening yourselves up to demonic attack if you continue’. My mother would say, “behave yourself!”…quickly followed by correction if words were not heeded. If you at all hear the Holy Spirit, that’s what you should be hearing, a warning. Please heed it.
The Holy Spirit later put this on my heart. ‘When Mario gets to Heaven, Jesus will meet him and say, I’ve got something to show you. There will be Kat, smiling as big as the sun and she’ll say, ‘told ya so.’ Comic relief. Character + Faith = Attitude. Stand closer to the Bible when you read it, people.
Thanks for you insight
Thank you so much, Wanda! I agree with you completely. I’m also amazed at the hateful comments directed at the show The Chosen. It is being used by the Lord SO MUCH, and I’m astounded at the criticisms aimed at it. You watch the show and see the reaction of the Pharisees, and then read the same type of comments from believers!!
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way–”
This quote is from Dickens. A secular quote but with much wisdom. When one age is ending and another being born, this is how it looks. Some see the negative parts and despair. Others see the promise of the new and rejoice. Both strangely are true at the same time. We need both views to see the complete picture
Such a good, GOOD word!! My heart and thoughts exactly. It broke my heart when I heard that two people I love and respect, publicly denounced another mighty minister of Jesus (in my humble opinion)! I was and am so grieved, grieved, grieved🙏🙏🙏😭
