I was recently challenged by a word that Eric Metaxas brought to a group of over 500 intercessors in Washington, DC. We were gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Intercessors for America and to consider the mission before us.
Metaxas, who wrote the best-selling book, “Letter to the American Church,” did not mince words. He admonished the Church to WAKE UP – to rise up in her calling to resist and overturn the demonic agendas destroying our nation. Unlike previous seasons where we may have felt we had time to accomplish our mission, the hour we now live in is extremely short. With the 2024 election just around the corner, he believes we have but one year to turn things around and save this nation. We have just one more year to sound the alarm before it’s too late and lose this nation for good.
My first reaction to his words was to resist the idea that it’s ever too late for God to intervene and change things. And yet, as I considered the bigger picture of our collective momentum from the last three years, I realized this moment is time sensitive. This window of opportunity will soon close. A remnant has risen and is fighting the good fight. But even the remnant has their limits.
Like many others, I wonder if we can even hope for a fair election given past results. Thankfully, that didn’t stop God in 2016. It was the collective prayers and intercession from the saints that broke through the massive corruption to give President Trump that initial victory. But since the stolen 2020 election we have been on a learning curve. We are being tested in our ability to perceive good versus evil and speak up concerning lawlessness and injustice. Knowing what we do now, three years later, our strategies and warfare must change if we are going to see the deliverance we are praying for.
For those who have been championing truth and exposing wolves and charlatans, it has been an intense battle. Shining light on the worldwide demonic agenda, massive media manipulation, and dark deception in high places has been life-altering for many. We are also facing exposures in the Church with various high-profile ministers being accused of immoral and unethical behavior. To be sure, this wakeup call has been unsettling, and yet desperately needed in order to understand the true nature of this battle.
And yet, even as these exposures continue to come into the light, I believe the most important factor that will determine the outcome of this next year – and our future – is not what we expose, but what we AGREE upon. It is our agreement as the Ekklesia of God that will ultimately determine our future. It is our collective oneness of heart and mind that gives us the legitimate spiritual authority to dismantle the principalities and powers aligned against us.
I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:10 ESV
Our agreement carries tremendous weight in the spirit, and it is the only thing that will take down the giants in our land. But I’m not suggesting a kind of agreement that simply “meets in the middle” and acquiesces to the opinions of others for some kind of compromise. The kind of unity Paul is speaking about is one of the Spirit and one of absolute truth. It is the KEY to seeing things change – both in the spirit and in the natural. This kind of oneness only happens when we agree on what’s most important – when we remain focused on the real enemy. It’s a determination to keep the “main thing” the “main thing.”
The hijacked 2020 election and weaponized Covid attack caused a wide segment of the population to finally see the global warfare we are up against. Even for those who resist the idea of any “military plan” working behind the scenes with President Trump, the evidence is becoming undeniable that we are being governed and ruled by illegitimate warlords who want us dead. This is the clear and present danger we face.
Since 2020, the list of illegal activities, fraudulent collaborations, and occultic practices has been growing – daily. Every sphere of our culture has been infected and poisoned by these deadly agendas and many voices have risen up to expose their collective madness. Even so, we can’t afford to get stuck on just one issue or plant a flag in just one leader’s camp. Our call for unity must go beyond our preferences and loyalties. Paul’s admonition for unity is actually in the context of a rebuke.
What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?”
1 Corinthians 1:12-13
If we truly have just one more year to preserve our freedoms and see this nation fulfill its prophetic purpose, we have to come out of our religious circles and conspiracy cliques for a greater cause. We must keep our eyes on the goal and not get fixated on secondary issues. We don’t have to compromise the truths we’ve uncovered or lessen our pursuit for valid information. But we must join our voices in agreement against the Behemoth before us. We must focus our energies, prayers, and conversations on confronting the enemies of God that are plowing through our front door. We must overturn their plan for our annihilation by standing together AS ONE MAN.
So all the men of Israel gathered against the city, united as one man.
Judges 20:11
The Church must decide, once and for all, that we have been given a voice to speak into the governmental sphere. We must divorce ourselves from any ideology that silences our voice and removes our influence in our nation’s governing policies and practices. God has called us as the spiritual gatekeepers on the earth and we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines while the strongmen come in and take possession (Luke 11:21-23).
Not everyone is going to agree on what’s “really happening” behind the scenes. Regardless of what we believe about President Trump or the Biden administration, we must step up and speak out concerning the dangers we face. We must speak with one voice and one message which declares the Kingdom of God is at hand and the gates of hell shall NOT prevail against it. We must call out the works of darkness and take our place at the city gates to ensure our children have a hope and a future. We must fuel our prayers and worship with Spirit-empowered declarations of the Kings rule and reign. We, the Ekklesia of God, are the only ones on earth that have been given the legitimate authority to decree such a thing and contend for its fulfillment.
If we are going to reach the masses in 2024 to see the national deliverance we are praying for, we must AGREE on our main mission and sound the alarm as one voice. We have been scheduled for extinction and we must come together with one sound if the roar of the Lion is to be heard.
How do you see the Church coming together in this next year? What do you believe should be the main focus? Please comment below and then share this post with others!

Thank you for this! I feel the pull too. I have to give up the comforts of my world…”deny myself, and take up my cross.” Thank you for saying what I have felt on my heart.
Just before I watched your video, I watched Lou Engle and Jenny Donnelly on Elijah Streams; and they seem
to have the answer to your question (One more year?) They discussed the planning of an event that will take place
on the October 13, 2024 (Day of Atonement) at the mall where they are believing for one million women to gather
in the spirit of Jeremiah 9 “Call the wailing women to weep and travail for their sons and daughters, their sisters
and their brothers, for death has climbed through our windows.” It was prophesied: “When they come, they will
save a nation.” Check it out by watching the ES video and going to website: amillionvoices.us
I am so encouraged!!
Amen and amen.
Yes! Well stated. I am totally in agreement with you and want to push back against the forces of darkness.
Yes, 100% yes! I’ve been agonizing over my local church lately. Every Sunday, the worship and messages are not about what is happening – but about Heaven. About leaving this earth and “going home.” I have been fasting and praying seeking the Father’s heart as to why there is such a disparity between local believers and the apostles and prophets. I know that my pastor is a spirit-filled believer; he earnestly seeks the Lords leading – I don’t doubt it. But I also know he has a distrust of “prophets” (including me – although I don’t call myself a prophet, I do hear some prophetic messages and dreams, etc., which i used to share with him.) The Lord took me to Jonah this week. Essentially I think the church stands at a crossroads. Either take up banner which is Christ and face down the enemy taking back our heritage, our nation, and our calling – or surrender it and lose the blessing. The church needs to set aside thoughts of eschatology; and focus on the battle, or I’m afraid we have the souls of nations on our hands that we could have harvested and failed to. I know the Lord will ensure the harvest – He will not surrender the harvest – but WE will lose the blessing and may face a judgment for failing to act. Praying that my understanding is wrong –
Clearly summarized and stated, Pastor Wanda- thank you for sharing this call of the Ekklesia collectively and individually. Agree.
